Blue: The Warmest Colour

Blue. It symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness, depending on the shade of course. My go to shades of blue? Think cornflower mixed with polar storm. Niagara Falls swirled with jewelled creak... or classic Lapis Lazuli blended lovingly with Summer Medley... and yes, those were shades taken from Dulux paint collection. So sue me.

Today was a blue day - with the dawn of a Spring tone on the pavements, I wanted to wear something royal and luxurious which reflected that golden orb in the sky. And so... believe it or not: I rustled through my wardrobe to find just the ticket... from TU Clothing - aka: Sainsbury's clothing line.

Sainsbury's?! I hear you scoff. Put down your digestive biscuit and your cup of tea. Sainsbury's clothing really is quite exceptional when you find a gem amongst the rails. I am lucky enough to have spotted two items (three, not including the matching coat to the trousers worn today as that stayed firmly in my cupboard). Paying homage to the previously discussed pajama trend, I wore the following...

I paired my outfit with three final touches: A spray of MIDNIGHT FANTASY by Britney Spears Perfumes, Missoma Gold Twisted Hoops and, in my pocket for luck during these strange times: A Turkish Evil Eye (wards off evil).🧿

So, be brave. Be blue. Be bold. Whether you are channelling the calmest blue in the book, the brightest blue in the sky, or the deepest blue in the ocean: Blue is the colour of May. May Blue Live On Long and Strong 🧿💙
