Please read, share and like my latest infographic set detailing
🌧 The main causes of suicide
🌧 Factors and thought processes of those who are suicidal
🌧 How to help someone who is suicidal
🌧 Main helplines for suicidal people and their loved ones
🌧 A personal story, from me... to you, which actually... I am going to share with you now:
“I have attempted suicide three times. Once relatively ‘superficially’, and twice failed with full intent. The first time was because I felt alone and lost, my eating disorder was coming to an end and aged 17 I felt like I no longer had an identity. The second was because of severe depression and anxiety which was crippling my ability to function in normal day to day life. And the last was due to being thrown from pillar to post by different doctors who couldn’t adequately diagnose me or look after my progressing chronic health conditions. I was sick of living everyday sick. Tired of having no energy from myalgic encephalomyelitis. Nauseas of living with gastroparesis and feeling chronically obstructed from lack of early medical intervention and comprehension. Fatigued of living everyday with the sole objective to simply survive. Have my health conditions changed? Not even slightly. But has my mind changed? Most definitely. Radical acceptance and radical kindness towards yourself is the first step to healing, to moving on from the desire to end your life, and growing to come to love yourself and be grateful for what you have. It is an ongoing battle. It’s a war that will never fully be won. But it is an armour your perpetually build to become stronger and sturdier, until one day, despite it all, you’re able to remain shielded from triggers, traumas and troubles.
You can do this. You can.
And you will."
