Why Lockdown Needs to End
The main points in this article
⭐️ herd immunity
⭐️ psychological impact
⭐️ economic and financial problems
⭐️ the virus will never actually go away
⭐️ survival of the fittest
⭐️ statistics are inaccurate and vague
⭐️ what is and isnt open is illogical
what is herd immunity first and foremost. in laymans terms, this is when so many people within a population either attain x virus/contagion but build an immunity to it, thus cannot pass it to one another. this leads to the population as a whole having no one to catch or spread x contagion to because they have either already had it and are immune, or simply never catch it. this causes the virus to die out or weaken as it does not have the cellular body required to feed off of and keep thriving. herd immunity is and will be the only way forward. i am convinced. as heartbreaking and perhaps cold hearted as it may sound: those who catch it and do not build an immunity, will either be very sick, or die. there is no in between.
consider in the least malicious sounding way possible also the sheer fact that our globe is heavily overpopulated with humans. we have known this for a long time. though an unconventional thought, what is to say that this virus was not purposefully deployed into the general population? as a cull, if you will, by superior governments with the intent to supress and control the rising figures of mankind and to restore a sense of economic, social and environmental equilibria?
the psychology of being cooped up is not rocket science. much in the same way as keeping a wild animal in a cage, they all do eventually go stir crazy, develop mental illness and suffer either short and treatable, or long term consequences. to keep cities such as london, typically buzzing with frenzy and cultural energy, in a congested and restrained bubble cannot and will not be feasible. because think: even when lockdown DOES eventually become a thing of the past... who is to say that a portion of people will actually be able yo return to work, to return to normal day to day functioning after being conditioned to stay indoors, do f⭐️ck all by pottering about and de cluttering drawer after drawer, and be left too long to sit with their own thoughts? distraction is key for maintenance of mental wellbeing for the most part, and when the distraction is removed, one is left with a recipe for disaster.
Economic and financial problems
You don't need me to tell you that by closing all major department stores, shopping centres, tourism in general; restaurants and coffee shops etc... that businesses are dying. severely. at an exponential rate. a positive trajectory of dying trades. is that really what we want? for people's livelihoods to crumble into, well, a very stale apple crumble?! restore normality. give people a choice: open everything again - if you want to go out, go out. If you don't want to go out, don't go out. disclaimer: don't say we didn't warn you.
We need to open stores and business again in order for future generations to not be in deep and crippling recession for years to come. So that people aren't left homeless or having to sell their personal belongings just to keep a roof over the head; so that children aren't going to school without breakfast because mum had to make a choice between paying for heating and electricity, or cereal for the week.
This is the harsh reality. And we need to wake tf up to it.
Statistics are inaccurate and vague
How many of those death figures are of elderly, those with pre existing conditions, those who have abused alcohol and drugs thus damaged their internal works already, and so on?
NO ONE is clarifying the age, gender, race, sex etc of those who have actually died SPECIFICALLY OF COVID.
Jane contracted COVID, she had cancer, she died.
Bob contracted COVID, he had longterm HIV/AIDS, he died.
Glynis contracted COVID, she was 98, she died.
Fred contracted COVID, he was severely underweight, he died.
do you see my point?
COVID being contracted for some individuals is simply the straw to break the camels back. Not necessarily the entire load that has lead them to a grave.
What is and isn't open is illogical
You can walk for hours in a supermarket with the correct PPE or face mask requirement, but not a clothing store?
You can buy clothes, wear them, and return them, but cannot try the item on in the store?
You can walk into a coffee shop, order your drink, stand there for a good ten minutes mixing said drink with sugar, but not sit there to drink it?
Come on, surely you can see that these petty attempts to control this virus are stupid and lack any form of pragmatism?
