Hello you gorgeous so and so's. Are you currently recovering from an eating disorder or know someone who is? Well, as someone who has been there done that and worn the t shirt (a few times!), I have learnt a fair bit about the efficacy of various treatments regarding eating disorder recovery. My experience is greater focused upon anorexia, but that doesn't mean or invalidate those suffering bulimia, pica, EDNOS, over-eating and beyond... I see you, I hear you, and I'm here for you too.
Abundance of love aside, because of my awareness of the conditions, I want to help you recover. Now listen up: this isn't going to be an easy road. And there will be plenty of bumps and roadworks along the way - but you WILL get there. If you KEEP going. You are the driver in the seat, okay? You have passengers who are there to push the car when you break down, people in the same car who will give you directions when you're lost... but you and you along are the one with the foot on the pedal. You steer, with the guidance of others, and the input of professionals, loved ones, family and friends.
So be aware that a lot of the effort has to come from you... which can seem hyper frightening and daunting. So how about we break it down a bit? Below are three worksheets I have designed SPECIFICALLY for YOU to help YOU with your recovery journey. Print them as many times are you want, scribble on them, make mistakes, tear it to pieces - I don't care. Just USE THEM. The worksheets are designed to be easy to read, easy to use; no catches or complexes, helpful and self-lead, meaning you stay in charge of the scenarios both present and future.
What have you got to lose but a few pages of ink? Get printing, get inking and get thinking 🧠 💭 💖
